Dear LUCO Fans:

Having just celebrated ten years of glorious music-making with LUCO, I feel more energized and inspired than ever as we launch into the next decade.

We begin our season with a double symphonic program featuring an emotionally charged Beethoven/Shostakovich pairing.  I am also bringing back Bruckner, the great musical cathedral architect whose "Romantic" Symphony is one of his most inspired creations.

Other highlights this season include a dazzling local young violinist, Marié Rossano who, at seventeen, already shows stunning musicality, technical mastery and stage presence.  I am thrilled to invite my distinguished colleague, Maestro Alastair Willis, to lead the all German, passionately romantic third program of Richard Wagner and Richard Strauss.

For our season finale, French fare is on the menu along with a new percussion concerto that will leave you breathless.  I very much look forward to sharing these musical treasures with you all.

Thank you for your loyalty and enthusiasm.  See you at Town Hall.

Cheers!

Christophe Chagnard, Music Director
